Renovation of Sports Hall in Nienburg/Weser

The Nienburg district is seeking suppliers for the renovation of the three-field sports hall used by vocational schools. Originally built in 1979 and modified in 1981, the hall has undergone various repairs over the years, including roof insulation in 1996/1997 and restroom renovations in 2012. Following hail damage in 2014, repairs were made to the flat roofs, but further issues have arisen, including the need for new heating and ventilation systems, as well as the replacement of outdated safety lighting and alarm systems. The sports hall is utilized by two schools for physical education and is also available for community sports training and competitions. A comprehensive renovation is planned to meet energy efficiency standards, including upgrades to the roof, walls, windows, and technical systems, as well as modernization of the interior, such as flooring and wall finishes. Additionally, an extension is proposed to provide more changing rooms and storage for sports equipment. Planning services were advertised at the end of 2023, and the technical planning services are now being re-tendered from phase 4. The total estimated cost for the project is approximately 9.1 million EUR.
