Cleaning Services for Small Businesses Employing Disadvantaged Individuals

This contract opportunity involves providing basic cleaning and manual services, including: • Cleaning work at construction sites where building work is being carried out for the contracting authority. • Cleaning work on public roads managed by the contracting authority. • Waste management services, including the collection and disposal of construction waste (excluding hazardous waste) and selected office waste (e.g., documents after shredding). • Maintenance and trimming of greenery along public roads managed by the contracting authority. Participation in this contract is reserved for suppliers who employ at least three (3) disadvantaged individuals. Disadvantaged individuals are defined as: • Individuals who have been registered as job seekers with the relevant employment office for at least five (5) months continuously before submitting a bid. • Individuals who have been registered as job seekers for a total of at least five (5) months in the last two (2) years before submitting a bid. • Individuals with lower qualifications, defined as those who have not completed basic education, completed basic education, or have secondary education without a diploma. • Individuals released from imprisonment or alternative sentences. • Individuals with a criminal record. • Socially excluded individuals or those at risk of social exclusion. Some of the contracts awarded under this opportunity will be reserved for small businesses, defined as those with a maximum of 10 employees and an annual turnover or balance sheet not exceeding 2 million EUR, as per the Commission Recommendation on the definition of micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises.
