Construction of a New Indoor Swimming Pool in Dübendorf

The City of Dübendorf is constructing a new indoor swimming pool at the existing outdoor pool site located at Oberdorfstrasse 23, 8600 Dübendorf. This new building is intended to replace the existing facilities and will be integrated with the current outdoor swimming infrastructure. The combination of indoor and outdoor facilities at one location aims to create an attractive offering that benefits the local community. The new indoor pool will provide sufficient capacity for swimming lessons and sports for schools and clubs in the long term. By integrating both indoor and outdoor pools, operational and technical advantages can be leveraged, allowing for more economical management of both facilities. The project aims to utilize synergies with the existing outdoor pool wherever feasible. However, the outdoor pool is not part of this planning; the new construction will only affect existing buildings and swimming areas to a limited extent. The energy concept is designed to be highly ecological and economical. The objectives for the building and pool technology include: - Setting a benchmark for public sector projects (Energiestadt Dübendorf) - Environmentally and economically sensible heat generation - Efficient ventilation units, pumps, etc. - A project with exemplary economic performance and low life-cycle costs - Aiming for Minergie-P and Minergie standards for the indoor pool, although certification is not pursued.
