Construction of a New Swimming Hall in Alzey

The city of Alzey is seeking architectural services for the project "Replacement Construction of the Swimming Hall and Functional Building of the Alzey Outdoor Pool." This project is part of the federal program "Renovation of Municipal Facilities in the Areas of Sports, Youth, and Culture" (SJK) initiated in 2024. The need for this project arises from the dilapidated teaching swimming pool at Albert-Schweitzer Elementary School, located at Donnersbergstraße 30 in Alzey, which has been closed for years due to significant structural defects. The funding measure includes the demolition and replacement construction of the functional building at the outdoor pool (Wartbergbad), along with the construction of a new swimming hall featuring a teaching swimming pool. The new building will be situated where the current main building of the outdoor pool (Wartbergbad) stands, meaning the location is already determined. However, there is considerable flexibility in the design and layout of the floor plans, which will be developed collaboratively with the planners.
