Construction of Interior Carpentry for New Vocational School in Bayreuth

The project involves the demolition, renovation, and construction of the state vocational school I in Bayreuth, divided into three phases. This specific contract covers the first phase of interior carpentry work, which includes general and specific guidelines for the tasks. The work will be carried out on the main school building and the adjacent caretaker's house. Tasks for the school include preparatory measures and various work areas such as sanitary furniture, changing rooms, built-in furniture, acoustic wall and ceiling cladding, interior reveals, special components, and cross-component work. The school building is primarily constructed of concrete with in-situ concrete and precast concrete elements. Room separations and facade panels will be made from lightweight walls. A color concept for orientation within the building has been designed, necessitating careful coordination between furniture color, wall color, and tile color, which will be reflected in the required samples. The caretaker's house work includes the installation of a kitchen, room doors, and wooden stair coverings. The carpentry and interior work for both the school and caretaker's house will intersect with several trades, such as drywall, painting/plastering, tiling, and technical building equipment. Special attention must be paid to the intersections with electrical, plumbing, and ventilation work, as these require particularly coordinated efforts. The use of the building as a vocational school imposes high standards for fire protection, acoustics, and surface quality. For example, acoustic and wall cladding must be proven to be non-combustible. The available construction site (security area) is limited, and the three adjacent existing buildings will remain in use during the work. The assembly concept must be adapted to the confined local conditions, ensuring the safety of the adjacent buildings at all times.
