Door Installation for New Vocational School in Bayreuth

The City of Bayreuth is planning the construction of Vocational School 1 on the site of the existing vocational school located at Kerschensteiner Straße 6, 95448 Bayreuth. The construction site is situated on the eastern edge of Bayreuth's city center, surrounded by a mix of buildings and the East School Center. The demolition, renovation, and new construction of the state vocational school will occur in three phases. The scope of work for the interior doors includes the first construction phase (BA1) and involves preliminary tasks such as site setup, planning for work and assembly, and sampling. The specific requirements for the interior doors are detailed and organized by floor, with each door type assigned a door number. The project primarily involves system doors with a steel frame as the door frame. Due to the building's use as a vocational school, there will be a high number of various door configurations, sizes, and functions, including fixed glazing. These must be accommodated by the system. Installation of the interior doors will begin after the completion of the screed work and will partially overlap with other trades such as drywall work, painting, and technical building equipment installation. There are specific intersections with the drywall work, as special frame connections will require pre-installation of the frame. The available construction area (security zone) is limited, and the three adjacent existing buildings will be in use during the work. The installation concept must be adapted to the confined local conditions, ensuring the safety of the adjacent buildings at all times.
