Bridge Construction and Road Renewal in Interlaken Ost

This project involves the comprehensive renovation of the infrastructure at Interlaken Ost station, including the following key elements: 1. Complete renovation of the substructure between the lower Aare Bridge and the western pedestrian underpass. 2. Construction of a retaining wall at the rockfall protection dam and at the Du Lac level crossing. 3. Renewal of waterproofing and local concrete repairs of the structures (pedestrian underpasses and stream crossings) within the project perimeter. 4. Rock face trimming and net coverings. 5. Adjusting platform edges to the new track geometry. 6. Modifying and expanding the Du Lac level crossing and the height path to fit the new track situation. Additionally, the project includes the renewal of the lower and upper Aare Bridges, which involves: 1. Repairing and providing new scour protection for the pillar of the lower Aare Bridge. 2. Repairing and reinforcing the north abutment of the lower Aare Bridge. 3. Strengthening the foundation of the upper Aare Bridge pillar with new bored piles. 4. Strengthening the foundation of the east abutment of the upper Aare Bridge with new bored piles.
