Installation of Audio Equipment for the North Rhine-Westphalia State Parliament

The North Rhine-Westphalia State Parliament building requires the installation of a public address system consisting of approximately 1,900 speakers. The existing system was put into operation when the building was opened and was last updated in 2006. It is based on a design by the manufacturer Klotz, utilizing amplifier systems from Powersoft and Sittig. The system includes a traditional 100V component for public areas and the underground garage, as well as a networked system based on RS-485 bus technology with decentralized amplifiers for office areas and hallways. This system not only serves as a public address system but also includes a faction call feature. Many central components have reached their end-of-service status, and replacement parts are often no longer available, with some components having reached their end-of-life status. The alarm function has been maintained through the use of an interim emergency control center, including appropriate speaking stations. The purpose of this tender is to restore the faction call system. The work required will affect the entire building, particularly the sub-distribution rooms for communication and electrical engineering. Noisy work must be conducted outside of the building's main usage hours, such as at night or on weekends, and this must be taken into account when preparing the bid, as it will not be compensated separately. Unlike the existing system, the new faction call system must be built as an independent system that operates flawlessly without the resources of the emergency control center. However, it must still be possible to connect the system to the existing emergency control center for monitoring and control without restricting its functionality.
