School Transportation Services in Sastamala

The city of Sastamala is seeking a supplier for school transportation services for the period from August 1, 2025, to July 31, 2026. This includes transportation for students to and from school, as well as various related services such as swimming pool transport, field trip transport, temporary transport needs, and other designated city transport services. The contract also covers transportation for welfare area responsibilities, including morning and afternoon activities for students, community service trips, and transportation for high school students. The supplier will be responsible for planning routes, schedules, and pick-up/drop-off points in accordance with Sastamala's school transportation principles and relevant regulations. The supplier must also comply with the Clean Vehicles Act (740/2021) regarding vehicle requirements. Approximately 900 students are eligible for school transportation, with 616 students living more than five kilometers from their designated school, including 60 students living over 20 kilometers away. The supplier will also consider high school students in route planning. Three vehicles designated for school transport will also be used for community service transportation.
