Construction Work for Swimming Pools - Renovation of Zeller Land Leisure Pool

This project involves the renovation of the Zeller Land Leisure Pool, which was originally built as a sports pool approximately 45 years ago. In 1993, the indoor pool was expanded, and the outdoor pool area was closed except for the children's splash pool. Some areas of the facility are still in their original condition from 1974, leading to significant wear and tear. Even the newer components from the 1990s show considerable defects and deterioration. In 2019, the Zell municipality commissioned a renovation study, which concluded that the entire roof structure, existing facade, and technical systems are in poor condition and economically unfeasible to repair. Consequently, the decision was made to demolish the indoor pool and adjacent service buildings (such as the restaurant and residential house) and replace them with a new structure. Only the underground level with the swimming pool (built in 1974) and part of the service buildings will remain. The leisure pool is located on the outskirts of Zell-Kaimt, surrounded by sports facilities and vineyards, near the Mosel River.
