Medical Devices and Products for Personal Hygiene – Ready-Made Orthoses - Notification

HUS is requesting bids for ready-made orthosis products. The procurement includes ready-made orthoses provided as medical supplies or as aids for rehabilitation granted to healthcare clients, along with any related accessories, spare parts, and fitting services as specified in this request for proposals and its attachments. This is a joint procurement involving multiple procurement units, conducted as a procurement ring. The products will be used not only by the HUS Assistive Device Center but also by HUS and its member regions: West Uusimaa, East Uusimaa, and Central Uusimaa, as well as South Karelia, Kymenlaakso, and Päijät-Häme. (Detailed information about the regional Assistive Device Centers is provided in the section OTHER INFORMATION, Introduction of the Procurement Unit). The parties involved in this request for proposals will be referred to as "Client" and the procurement unit preparing the procurement (HUS Procurements) will primarily be referred to as "Procurement Unit". The procurement is divided into nine (9) areas: 1) Cervical Orthoses 2) Shoulder Orthoses 3) Body, Lumbar, and Sacral Orthoses 4) Elbow Orthoses 5) Wrist, Hand, and Finger Orthoses 6) Finger Orthoses 7) Knee Orthoses 8) Ankle Orthoses 9) Hernia Supports and Pants. Each area is further divided into multiple positions based on product characteristics. The subject of the procurement and its requirements are described in detail in the request for proposals and its attachments. The goal of the procurement is to obtain functional, safe, and suitable ready-made orthosis products through competitive bidding. The procurement also emphasizes the reliability of product delivery and optimal availability. The contract period is two (2) years and can be extended for two additional one-year option periods (1+1). The Client will decide separately on the use of the option periods and will inform the contracting parties before the end of the actual contract period. ADDITIONAL PROCUREMENT OPPORTUNITIES The procurement may also include a small amount of other products related to the areas of the contract that are not specifically mentioned in the request for proposals, which the supplier has specified in the "OTHER ADDITIONAL PRODUCTS" tab of the bid form, and which will be ordered in small quantities compared to the main procurement items.
