Building Demolition and Earthworks at Munich Central Station

This contract involves construction services for the remediation of hazardous materials and the gutting of buildings in the northern construction area of Munich Central Station, located on Arnulfstraße. Following these tasks, a separate tender for large equipment demolition will be issued. Concurrently, there will be separate tenders for utility relocation work in the basement of this construction area. The northern construction area primarily consists of the following building components: Starnberger Flügelbahnhof: This building, constructed in 1949/50 and under monument protection since 2010, covers an area of approximately 4,000 m². It is no longer used as a train station. The ground floor previously housed retail and gastronomy, and a children's museum spanned all floors. The basement served as storage and technical areas. Parts were remodeled in the 1960s and connected to a new building. The structure is characterized by steel frameworks. To the south, the northern edge building connects to this structure. Northern Edge Building: This 6-story building covers 1,200 m². The gutting involves, among other things, the dismantling of the inner facade in the listed platform hall from 1960. The building is constructed of reinforced concrete and masonry, with various ceiling designs. The northern edge building consists of a reinforced concrete skeleton structure with a flat roof and various insulation materials. Inside, there were storage and technical rooms in the basement, as well as office and staff rooms and a cafeteria on the upper floors.
