Renovation of Wittenberge Train Station Building - Flooring Works

The Wohnungsbaugesellschaft der Stadt Wittenberge mbH is commissioning the complete renovation of the Wittenberge train station building. This historic building, which is a listed monument, is located at the train station square (Salomon-Herz-Platz) in Wittenberge. To the east of the building are the platform and the railway tracks. The gross floor area of the building is 7,564 m². The building consists of four sections based on construction time and use: Section A: a three-story masonry building from 1846, with a basement featuring fieldstone exterior walls and brick interior walls, partially brick vault ceilings, and wooden beam upper ceilings with a false floor, a flat attic with a wooden roof structure, and a flat sloped roof covered with bitumen; Section A is currently vacant. Sections B1 and B2: a two-story masonry extension from 1873, with a basement of brick, brick vault ceilings, and wooden beam upper ceilings with a false floor, a crawl space with a wooden roof structure, and a flat sloped roof covered with bitumen; Section B1 includes a two-story hall, while Section B2 is in use (office and functional rooms for Deutsche Bahn). Section C: a single-story masonry extension from 1924, partially basement, with exterior walls in cast concrete, and ceilings over the basement made of steel stone ceilings between beams. Overall building dimensions (largest extent): building width: approximately 112 m, building depth: approximately 25 m, building height: approximately 17 m.
