Roofline Repairs and Chimney Works - 148 Shepherds Row, Andover

This project involves comprehensive roofline repairs and chimney work at 148 Shepherds Row, Andover, SP10 2QH. Work includes eaves and ridge repairs to the main pitched roof, chimney inspection and potential removal, gutter and downpipe cleaning, and installation of hedgehog brushes. Key requirements: all roofing work must be carried out by NFRC accredited contractors with competent roofing scheme self-certification. Prior to any chimney removal, all flats must be checked for live gas appliances, wood-burning stoves, or open fires. The contractor must identify soffit and extractor fan vents requiring disconnection and reconnection. Works include erection of tubular steel scaffolding, repositioning of satellite dishes and TV aerials with signal testing, isolation and recommissioning of vertical gas flues per safety guidance, and chimney stack removal to below roof level if authorized. Timber repairs and replacement include new structural timbers to rafters and ridge sections, installation of breathable Permavent Apex membrane, eaves support trays, dry-fixed ridge systems with ventilation, tile replacement to match existing, and repointing of verges. Eaves must be cleared and insulated with 50-75mm PIR insulation board maintaining adequate ventilation gaps. Upon completion, all areas must be cleaned and windows, doors, and fascias washed to remove debris.
