Rental of Anti-Decubitus Mattresses for Healthcare

The procurement involves the rental of anti-decubitus mattresses used for preventing pressure ulcers in the Central Finland welfare area. These mattresses are intended for patients at high and very high risk of pressure ulcers in hospital and ward care, as well as in home and residential services. They are widely used across various clients in the welfare area. The procurement focuses on a motorized air-filled mattress system that includes at least alternating pressure functions and minimum pressure functions. The mattresses are rental items, with ownership remaining with the supplier. The supplier is responsible for the maintenance of the anti-decubitus mattresses, which includes collection, washing, condition inspection, and scheduled maintenance. The procurement is not divided into lots, as the rental service along with maintenance forms a comprehensive functional unit for the welfare area. Ensuring and monitoring the delivery of the service is best managed as a single entity, and dividing the unit among different contract partners could jeopardize the overall implementation. One (1) supplier will be selected as the contract partner. The fixed-term contract period is 12 months, after which the contract will continue indefinitely. The desired start date for the contract period is October 1, 2025.
