Gynaecology Outsourcing Services for Barking, Havering & Redbridge University Hospital NHS Trust

This is a Provider Selection Regime Direct Award notice for outsourcing elective gynaecology services to Nuffield Health (The Holly Hospital). The contract covers the complete treatment pathway for approximately 500 patients currently on waiting lists, with a contract value of £310,000 from 03 September 2026 to 31 March 2027. Service Scope: The provider will deliver general gynaecology, vulval disorder and menopause services, including hysterectomy, diagnostic laparoscopy, cystectomy, endometrial ablation, and prolapse surgery. The complete pathway encompasses clinical triage, initial consultation, diagnostics, investigations, treatment planning, medical management, office-based procedures, follow-up appointments and discharge. Key Responsibilities: The provider manages patients from first outpatient appointment through treatment and discharge back to referring clinicians. All patient information and clinical records must be managed securely, with discharge summaries provided promptly to referring clinicians detailing diagnosis, investigations, treatment and ongoing management recommendations. Direct Award Justification: The provider is the current incumbent with a proven track record of high-quality service delivery, full integration into the patient care pathway, demonstrated value for money, local accessibility and minimal disruption risk.
