    Brief

This public procurement contract involves creating a modern working environment for preparing terminology dictionaries. The current application, Slovarred 2.0, is outdated (developed in 2001) and cannot be updated or maintained effectively. Developing a new application is crucial for the smooth operation of the Terminology Department, as existing lexicographic solutions cannot meet the specific needs of the terminology process. The project consists of three phases: 1. Phase One: Develop a user interface and data model that aligns with the principles of terminology dictionary creation, ensuring proper, reliable, and secure data processing and storage. The user interface must facilitate data processing and transfer from the client to the backend database, allowing for all required reviews and output formatting. We expect to use a relational database and Microsoft SQL server for data management, and web technologies like HTML and JavaScript for the user interface, with ASP.NET and C# for client-database communication. 2. Phase Two: Data Migration - The current application relies on a large backend database, and all data must be transferred to the new data model to enable further editing and processing of existing terminology dictionaries. The structure of the current database is undocumented. 3. Phase Three: Testing and Production Implementation - Transition to the production environment and test the application, its functionalities, and the migrated data. The production environment must be appropriately configured for the new application (IIS configuration on the server, access management, etc.), with expected minor adjustments and enhancements to the user interface and a final review of data transfer accuracy.
