Maritime Traffic Simulation Model Development

Trinity House seeks a contractor with machine learning and artificial intelligence expertise to develop an agent-based synthetic maritime traffic model. This model will generate realistic traffic patterns for specified maritime areas by analyzing real-world characteristics rather than predicting individual vessel movements. The synthetic data should resemble actual AIS (Automatic Identification System) data, including vessel speed, course, and related navigation parameters. Key requirements include: (1) capability to simulate various maritime conditions and scenarios, (2) flexibility to model different offshore infrastructure configurations, and (3) ability to support 'what-if' analysis for operational planning. Trinity House will provide ongoing technical guidance, advice, and project oversight to ensure deliverables meet organizational requirements.
