Maternity Emergency and Early Pregnancy Assessment Unit Construction - University Maternity Hospital Limerick, Ireland

This construction project involves building a new rapid-build maternity facility at University Maternity Hospital Limerick (UMHL) in Ireland. The work includes: (1) Construction of a new 863m² two-floor facility with rooftop plantroom; (2) Refurbishment of the existing Main Entrance and Medical Emergency Unit (263m²); (3) Expanded and refurbished Maternity Emergency Unit with a new main entrance, draught lobby, and entrance canopy; (4) New diagnostic scanning suite; (5) Clinical units including a 3-bed ground floor assessment unit, 4-bed labour induction unit, 2-room Intensive Care suite, and procedure room on the first floor; (6) General support and staff facilities; (7) Upgraded Main Entrance forecourt with landscape works; (8) New car park to the southeast of the site with associated landscape works to accommodate displaced parking. This is an acute hospital services development on the existing UMHL site. The project encompasses new construction, major refurbishment work, and site improvements to enhance maternity and emergency care services.
