Brief
The Lower Saxony State Authority for Road Construction and Traffic - Lingen Division is planning to construct replacement structures for the Ems Bridge, the Foreland Bridge, and the Flood Basin Bridge along State Road 59 in Steinbild, Emsland district. The need for new structures arises from damage to the existing bridges. For the construction of the Ems and Foreland Bridges, the following services are required: - Basic services of partial services a), b), and c) of the Geotechnical service profile according to Annex 1 No. 1.3.3 Paragraph (3) HOAI and special services for the engineering structures - Basic services of partial services a), b), and c) of the Geotechnical service profile according to Annex 1 No. 1.3.3 Paragraph (3) HOAI as special services and additional special services for the traffic facility. For the construction of the Flood Basin Bridge, the following services are required: - Basic services of partial services a), b), and c) of the Geotechnical service profile according to Annex 1 No. 1.3.3 Paragraph (3) HOAI and special services for the engineering structure. The necessary services for the investigation of the bridge approach areas and the preparation of an engineering geological report for the bridge approach areas are part of the service description for Geotechnical Engineering Structures for the Flood Basin Bridge. For the Ems and Foreland Bridges, after determining the preferred variant for the existing State Road L 59 and for the new alignment of L 59 (preferred variant), an engineering geological route report must be prepared. For the construction of the replacement structures, a soil report must be created, consisting of Part A Geotechnical Report with foundation recommendations and Part B Geotechnical Design Report. For the Flood Basin Bridge, as a preliminary step for further planning, a soil report Part A for the replacement structure and an engineering geological report on the existing road structure in the area of the bridge approach areas, approximately 50 m before and after the structure, must be prepared. After the design of the structure is available, the contractor must prepare Part B Geotechnical Design Report. Ems and Foreland Bridges: The contractor must develop a service description for the required exploratory work (field and laboratory tests) and submit it to the client for the procurement process. The exploratory work must be coordinated and supervised by the contractor. Additionally, the contractor should conduct the approval of excavated and foundation soils during the construction phase of the project, possibly accompany foundation work, and advise the client on other geotechnical issues. Flood Basin Bridge: The contractor must develop a service description for the required field and laboratory tests and submit it to the client. Furthermore, the soil expert must conduct the approval of excavated and foundation soils during the construction phase of the project and advise the client on geotechnical matters.
