Furniture Procurement for Educational Institutions in Lugoj, Romania

The Municipality of Lugoj is implementing a project funded under Contract No. 1264DOT/2023 as part of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR), Component 15 – Education. This project aims to equip 13 educational institutions and 1 related unit in Lugoj, Timiș County, with furniture, teaching materials, and equipment necessary for both students and teachers to ensure a conducive educational environment. The investment is expected to enhance student participation in educational activities and reduce school dropout rates. A prior needs assessment revealed that all 13 educational units and the related unit require digital equipment, furniture, and teaching materials to provide quality educational activities, ensuring all participants have access to online educational resources and adequate infrastructure. An inventory of existing equipment showed that some furniture is over 5 years old and needs replacement. The educational units require uniform technological equipment across all school spaces, including classrooms, laboratories, offices, and workshops. The current facilities are physically and morally worn out, and the existing resources are insufficient for effective learning. The proposed investment will create the necessary framework to facilitate the educational process by providing appropriate furniture. The project's goal is to utilize these resources to support local education by improving academic performance, expanding the use of digital technology in teaching, and enhancing human resource specialization through technology. Suppliers can request clarifications up to 7 days before the deadline for submitting offers. Clarifications submitted after this period will not be considered. The contracting authority will respond clearly and completely to all clarification requests at least 5 days before the established deadline for submitting offers. Bidders may submit offers for one or more lots.
