Suicide Bereavement Support Service

Gloucestershire County Council is looking for a provider to offer information and support to individuals who have lost someone to suicide. This service is a key part of the government's national suicide prevention strategy and the NHS Long Term Plan. Since January 2022, a suicide bereavement support service has been operational in Gloucestershire, and the current contract will end on March 31, 2026. The Council aims to secure a new contract to ensure that bereavement support continues to be available for residents of Gloucestershire. The new contract will commence on April 1, 2026, and will last for three years, with the possibility of extending it twice for two additional years each. If the first extension is utilized, the contract will run until March 31, 2031, and if the second extension is taken, it will continue until March 31, 2033. The total budget for this contract, including extensions, is capped at £700,000.
