    Brief

The UK Atomic Energy Authority (UKAEA) is seeking a supplier with expertise in GitLab to assist with the migration and upgrade of its self-hosted GitLab Community Edition (CE) instance. Currently, UKAEA has 1,500 users and nearly 8,000 projects on an outdated version (13.1.11) that has not been supported for three years. The project aims to transition to a new infrastructure and upgrade to a supported version. The selected supplier will help ensure a smooth migration process, which includes: - Understanding the current GitLab setup, which operates on a single node with runners and uses NFS for git repositories. - Reviewing the proposed migration strategy to a new configuration that includes a single GitLab node and a three-node Gitaly cluster, with automation through Ansible. - Assisting with any remaining tasks identified during the migration strategy review. - Identifying and addressing any errors in the logs and helping the team resolve issues as they arise. - Providing advice on best practices for GitLab usage. This notice is for an award following a competitive process through G Cloud 14. The total value of the contract is £50,000, excluding VAT. The deadline for submissions is July 15, 2025.
