Gynaecology Outsourcing Services for Barking, Havering & Redbridge University Hospital NHS Trust

Barking, Havering & Redbridge University Hospital NHS Trust (BHRUT) intends to award a contract to Circle Health Ltd for provision of outsourcing gynaecology services. This is a Provider Selection Regime (PSR) Direct Award Process C intended to reduce waiting lists and improve patient access to care. The contract covers a complete elective gynaecology pathway for approximately 500 patients currently awaiting treatment, with a lifetime value of £310,000 from 01/09/2026 to 31/03/2027. The service encompasses three pathways: General Gynaecology, Vulval Disorders, and Menopause Services. Treatment procedures include hysterectomy, diagnostic laparoscopy, cystectomy, endometrial ablation, anterior/posterior repairs, and prolapse surgery. The provider will deliver an end-to-end service including clinical triage, initial consultation, diagnostics, investigations, treatment planning, medical management, office-based procedures, follow-up appointments, and discharge. The provider maintains clinical responsibility for all patients until formal discharge and will ensure secure management of patient information with prompt discharge summaries to referring clinicians. Any patients requiring urgent cancer assessment, emergency care, or tertiary specialist services outside the agreed scope will be escalated through an agreed process. This award is made under the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023 and falls outside the scope of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015/Procurement Act 2023.
