Fund Adviser for Future Places Fund - £500m Regional Impact Investment Platform

The Investment Team is seeking an experienced Fund Adviser to manage a £500m Future Places Fund (FPF), a revolving regional impact investment platform targeting stalled housing and commercial development schemes. Unlike traditional grant-based funding, the FPF deploys a repayable investment model that recycles capital over time through deal-by-deal co-investment with institutional and pension fund partners. The successful adviser will execute three core pillars: (A) Origination, Structuring & Execution – designing pipeline management processes, sourcing "oven-ready" schemes from local authorities and developers, structuring bespoke investment deals with clear pricing and exit strategies, and managing a four-stage governance process from investment overview through financial closing; (B) Ongoing Portfolio Management & Asset Monitoring – overseeing capital drawdowns against verified milestones, tracking construction progress, monitoring borrower covenants, and leading asset restructuring if needed to protect public capital; and (C) Impact, ESG & Output Reporting – embedding core performance metrics into all transactions to track housing delivery, job creation, and brownfield regeneration outcomes. Management fees are capped at £200,000 per annum (excluding VAT) with a maximum total value of £1,000,000 (excluding VAT) for the full five-year term. The contract will run for an initial 3 years with two optional one-year extensions available.
