    Brief

    The West of England Mayoral Combined Authority (WECA) is seeking a supplier to deliver a residential solar collective buying scheme across Bath & North East Somerset, Bristol, South Gloucestershire, and North Somerset. This initiative supports WECA's Growth Strategy to increase renewable energy and decarbonise homes by 2035. Your Role: As the selected supplier, you will manage the complete customer journey from marketing and sales through installation and post-installation support. Key responsibilities include: - Installing and maintaining at least 500 domestic solar systems by 31 October 2027 (with potential for up to 1,800 systems) - Running a marketing campaign to attract homeowners - Developing local workforce skills and capabilities - Ensuring high-quality pre-installation, installation, and post-installation service - Delivering timely defect rectification - Maximising customer access and delivering Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) outputs What We're Looking For: Preferred suppliers should have: - MCS (Microgeneration Certification Scheme) registration - Experience attracting private sector leverage and funding - Proven track record delivering services to diverse communities Expanded Scope: Beyond solar installations, WECA is interested in exploring collective purchasing for additional low carbon measures, including domestic retrofit, low carbon heating, insulation, and electric vehicle charging points, potentially as part of this contract.
