    Brief

The Vietnamese Power System is one of the largest in the world, ranking among the top 20 by installed capacity, and leading in Southeast Asia. As renewable energy sources (RES) now make up about 27% (23,000 MW) of the total capacity in 2024, the system faces new challenges and complexities. To support effective grid management and facilitate the integration of renewable energy, the National Electricity System and Market Operator (NSMO) is seeking technical assistance for training on the new grid stability phenomena associated with high renewable penetration. This training aims to equip NSMO engineers with the knowledge to understand and address emerging stability challenges due to increased renewable energy integration, as well as to learn research methods and calculations related to new types of stability. Interested suppliers or consortia are invited to review the Request for Quotation (RfQ) documentation and submit proposals by the specified deadline. The RfQ includes the following materials: Schedule 1 - Terms of Reference, Schedule 2 - Instructions for Submission, Schedule 3 - Terms and Conditions, Annex I - RFQ Response Form, and Annex II - Budget and Workplan Template.
