Early-Career Research Grant for New Investigators

This grant supports early-career researchers at eligible organizations who hold an academic lectureship position and have not previously led an independent research group. The funding covers single-vision research projects across all disciplines. EPSRC will fund 80% of full economic cost with no upper limit on grant value. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis and are batched periodically for panel assessment. This scheme is particularly encouraging for researchers with non-standard career paths, career breaks, or those re-entering research after time away. Eligible applicants must be employed at a recognized UK research institution and meet EPSRC eligibility criteria.
