DRIVE35 Scale-Up Fund for Zero Emission Vehicle Manufacturing

UK registered organisations can apply for grants between £2.5 million and £20 million to establish and expand manufacturing facilities for zero emission vehicle (ZEV) technologies. Eligible technologies include battery production, electric machines, fuel cell systems, and lightweighting materials. This competition is funded by the Department for Business and Trade and delivered by Innovate UK and the Advanced Propulsion Centre, with up to £150 million available across all successful applications. Applicants must demonstrate substantial private co-investment in their projects. Projects must commence by 1 March 2027 and be completed by 31 March 2030. This funding supports the UK's transition to zero emission vehicle manufacturing and industrial decarbonisation.
