Arts and Humanities Research Council Catalyst Awards for Early Career Researchers

This competitive funding programme supports early-career researchers who are establishing themselves as independent research leaders. It is designed for researchers without prior experience of leading a major research project. Catalyst Awards accelerate career progression, develop research leadership capabilities, and build experience in convening research teams and communities. Projects can run for up to five years and receive funding of up to £300,000 (80% Full Economic Costing). Applicants should demonstrate potential for independent research leadership and innovative project ideas within arts and humanities disciplines. This scheme helps researchers transition from team members to project leaders and establish themselves within their research field.
