AHRC Proof of Concept: Translating Research into Real-World Impact

This grant program supports arts and humanities research that has been previously funded by AHRC or UKRI to transition from academic findings into tangible economic, societal, cultural, or policy benefits. The funding enables researchers to undertake knowledge exchange, commercialisation, and entrepreneurial activities that demonstrate practical applications of their work. UK-based researchers at eligible AHRC-funded institutions can apply for awards up to £150,000 (80% FEC) for projects lasting up to five years. This opportunity is designed to bridge the gap between academic excellence and real-world implementation, supporting researchers in developing commercial products, services, policies, or cultural initiatives based on their research outcomes.
