EPSRC Strategic Infrastructure Funding 2026

This funding opportunity supports UK research organisations to purchase strategic infrastructure (equipment and/or resources) valued at £400,000 or more to enhance UK scientific capability and enable cutting-edge research aligned with national priorities. Two routes are available: Route One funds the purchase and setup of new strategic infrastructure with capital equipment funded at 100% and justified non-capital costs funded at 80% FEC, while Route Two provides resources to support existing infrastructure for a maximum of 2 years. This is an invite-only opportunity restricted to applicants who have successfully completed an outline application stage. Suppliers and equipment vendors should note that eligible organisations will be seeking to procure high-value research equipment and infrastructure resources through this scheme.
