    Brief

This opportunity involves assessing the implications and resource requirements for advancing two transnational UNESCO World Heritage Site nominations involving locations in Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland. The first nomination covers the Royal Sites of Ireland, including Navan Fort in Armagh, Northern Ireland, with additional sites in Counties Meath, Westmeath, Roscommon, Kildare, and Tipperary. The second nomination covers Historical Astronomical Observatories of Ireland, including Armagh Observatory and Planetarium in Armagh, Northern Ireland, with additional observatories at Dunsink in County Dublin and Birr in County Offaly. Both nominations are currently on Ireland's UNESCO Tentative List. Suppliers should be prepared to support the nomination process through its four stages: review and preparation of the Tentative List, preparation of preliminary assessments and nomination dossiers, evaluation, and decision by the World Heritage Committee. The assessment should identify resource needs, implementation challenges, timelines, and costs associated with advancing these nominations toward UNESCO World Heritage inscription.
