Digital Mental Health Prevention and Wellbeing Support for Shropshire Residents

Shropshire Council is conducting market engagement to explore digital mental health prevention and emotional wellbeing solutions for residents aged 16+. This is not a formal commissioning call but rather an information-gathering exercise to inform future service planning. The Council seeks to understand available digital models, their evidence base, accessibility, cost, and suitability for Shropshire's rural population. The goal is to identify solutions that help residents with low-level mental health or emerging wellbeing needs access timely support to prevent escalation and reduce demand on statutory services. The Council is interested in digital offers that: are accessible without diagnosis or clinical referral; support people experiencing emerging mental health issues; promote self-management and early intervention; provide safe escalation pathways when needed; work across rural geographies; reach groups underserved by traditional services; and generate meaningful data on reach, utilisation and outcomes. Any future digital offer would complement a broader suite of support including social prescribing, voluntary sector provision, and community-based help, tailored to local needs and priorities.
