Bexley Primary Care Urgent Respiratory Care Hub - Winter 2026/27

NHS South East London Integrated Care Board is seeking a provider to operate an Acute Respiratory Infection (ARI) Hub for the London Borough of Bexley during winter 2026/27 (1 December 2026 to 28 February 2027, with optional one-month extension). The hub will provide same-day urgent face-to-face appointments for children and adults with respiratory infection symptoms, alleviating pressure on general practices and emergency departments. The service will operate Monday to Friday, 08:00-18:30 from a central Bexley primary care location, staffed by a GP and Advanced Nurse Practitioner with administrative support. The hub will accept referrals from Bexley GP practices and NHS 111 (approximately 10-15% of capacity reserved for NHS 111). Providers must have a minimum three-year track record delivering similar acute respiratory infection or urgent care services in South East London and demonstrate ability to deliver equitable access, maintain clinical safety with clear escalation pathways, and integrate effectively with general practice and wider urgent care systems. The ICB will use the Most Suitable Provider process under the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023 to evaluate bidders against statutory key criteria.
