Supplier Inquiry: STI Self-Test Kit Assembly and Distribution Services

University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust (UHB) is conducting market engagement to identify suppliers capable of providing end-to-end assembly, supply, and postal distribution of self-test kits for sexually transmitted infections (STIs) and blood-borne viruses. The kits will screen for Chlamydia trachomatis, Neisseria gonorrhoeae, HIV, Syphilis, and Hepatitis B using six variants (three vaginal and three penile designs) with multiple sampling options including urine, vaginal, rectal, oral, and blood collection. Suppliers must demonstrate capability across the full service scope: sourcing and managing kit components, designing and printing patient-facing documentation, maintaining inventory and stock control, ensuring quality assurance and regulatory compliance, and managing direct postal and delivery distribution to end users. This market engagement exercise will inform UHB's procurement strategy and help identify suppliers who can deliver a high-quality, compliant, and scalable solution suitable for UHB and its delivery partners.
