    Brief

Westmorland and Furness Council is accepting applications from qualified care providers to join its new Homecare Framework, launching April 2027. This five-year framework will be the Council's main route for commissioning domiciliary care and support services across the region. Note: Membership from the current framework does not automatically transfer, and all existing providers must reapply and meet new requirements. This is a significant strategic opportunity with limited entry points during the framework period. Providers should invest substantial time and resources to submit comprehensive, high-quality applications demonstrating their capability to deliver safe, person-centred homecare services. The Council seeks high-performing providers who enable adults to live safely, healthily, independently and fulfilling lives at home. Services must promote independence, improve health and wellbeing, reduce isolation, prevent long-term care needs, deliver safe and responsive care, support choice and dignity, leverage community resources and technology, and contribute to a sustainable care market.
