Brief

TfL is seeking maintenance services to repair S-Stock seat bases and cushions used on London Underground's Suburban rolling stock. S-Stock trains (S7 and S8 models) operate on the Circle, District, Hammersmith & City, and Metropolitan lines. This procurement supports the fleet maintenance programme to maintain operational readiness, safety, and reliability of the equipment. The estimated contract value is approximately £407,931, with repairs to be performed as required. This direct award is being made to the existing supplier under the Procurement Act 2023, Section 41.6 Schedule 5 Paragraph 7, as changing suppliers would result in incompatible parts that would create disproportionate technical difficulties in operation and maintenance of the trains.
