Cleaning Services Contract for Ascendancy Partnership Trust Special Schools

Ascendancy Partnership Trust (APT) is seeking a cleaning contractor for two specialist schools (Addington and Brookfields) serving children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) across Berkshire. The successful contractor must deliver highly responsive, flexible and sensitive cleaning services that maintain consistently high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and infection control whilst minimising disruption to teaching and learning. Key requirements include: demonstrated experience in educational settings; understanding of specialist school considerations; expertise in safeguarding and appropriate use of cleaning products; enhanced cleaning of welfare and hygiene facilities; effective communication with school leadership; and prompt response to incidents and operational changes. The role demands particular attention to the needs of pupils, staff and visitors, with activities carried out safely and discreetly. The contract includes TUPE staff on Local Government Pension Schemes (LGPS). Contract term: 3 years initial period with option to extend for two further one-year periods.
