Design and Installation of Museum Interpretation for Saltram Mansion

The National Trust is seeking qualified suppliers to design, supply, and install new interpretation displays in the historic mansion at Saltram, Devon. This project is funded by The National Lottery Heritage Fund as part of the Future Saltram: Access to Nature & Heritage Package. The work includes creating engaging exhibits for two historic rooms (87 square meters) plus circulation spaces that will be newly opened to the public, along with interpretation for other selected areas of the mansion. The interpretation must present inclusive, global narratives in accessible and compelling ways to enhance visitor engagement and support the Trust's mission to use cultural heritage to enhance lives and boost wellbeing in Plymouth and beyond. The project timeline includes a Request for Information deadline of 12 June, followed by shortlisted proposals, with contract commencement in August 2026, fit-out beginning April 2027, and public opening in June 2027. Successful suppliers must work collaboratively with the project team and other contractors to meet pre-commencement planning and Listed Building Consent conditions.
