Trauma-Informed Training Programme for Education Practitioners

The Early Years Service, in partnership with the Virtual School, is establishing a comprehensive training programme in trauma-informed relational practice for educational practitioners across Derbyshire. The programme will support staff working with children and young people across all educational phases, including Early Years, Primary, Secondary, and Post-16 provision. This is an opportunity for training providers to develop and deliver evidence-based training that equips educators with the knowledge and skills to recognize trauma, understand its impact on learning and behavior, and implement relational approaches that support vulnerable children and young people. The successful provider will work collaboratively with the Early Years Service and Virtual School to ensure the training is tailored to the needs of practitioners at different educational stages and is embedded across the authority's educational settings.
