This contract calls for comprehensive structural investigation and testing services for three bridges in County Wexford: Wexford Bridge, Kildavin Bridge, and Edermine Bridge. The successful contractor will conduct specialized non-destructive testing (covermeter surveys, chloride ingress testing, carbonation testing, half-cell potential and resistivity testing) and invasive investigations (concrete breakouts and core extraction) on structural elements. Additional services include laboratory analysis of concrete cores and samples, ultrasonic thickness measurements, paint system inspection, certified dive inspections of underwater components, bathymetric surveys, and for Kildavin Bridge, geophysical surveys using ground-penetrating radar and seismic refraction. The contractor must manage all traffic control, special access arrangements (including scaffolding and boat access), obtain road opening licenses, and coordinate with relevant statutory bodies. Work includes comprehensive testing documentation, detailed reports on structural condition, and full reinstatement of test locations.
