High-Voltage Electrical Infrastructure Provider for Hospital

This procurement seeks a specialist contractor to design, build, and commission high-voltage electrical infrastructure for a hospital undergoing modernization and transition from facilities with reinforced autoclaved aerated concrete (RAAC). The contractor must ensure continuous, uninterrupted electrical supply to the operational hospital throughout the project while delivering a permanent, resilient solution that meets NHS technical requirements and legal obligations. The appointed contractor will work under an NEC4 Engineering and Construction Contract (ECC) Option A as the sole responsible party for all phases: design development, construction, testing, commissioning, and handover. The scope includes a permanent 33kV supply, primary substation (with HV cabling, civil works, protection systems, SCADA/telemetry, revenue metering, and earthing), primary intake infrastructure, and modifications to the existing 11kV private network. An optional interim 11kV supply is available as a separately priced element to provide programme flexibility and reduce the cost and duration of temporary arrangements. The project culminates in formal adoption of installed HV assets by an iDNO (independent Distribution Network Operator).
