Treeton Lane Bridge Flood Alleviation Scheme - Design and Build Services

This is a two-stage design and build contract for the Catcliffe and Treeton Flood Alleviation Scheme, located south of Rotherham on the B6067 Treeton Lane, South Yorkshire. Hydrological and hydraulic analysis has determined that the existing bridge cannot accommodate water flow during flood conditions. The scheme proposes raising the existing bridge structure by approximately 900mm at its current location over the Rother River to increase freeboard and hydraulic capacity. The preferred solution is a precast TY beam with an in-situ concrete deck slab supported by existing abutments, though this will be assessed during the design phase. The contract includes both design and construction services and is being procured through YORCivil 3 South and West Region Lot 3.
