Radiological Monitoring Survey for AFBI Facility Decommissioning

The Agri-Food and Biosciences Institute (AFBI), sponsored by the Department of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs (DAERA), is decommissioning its defunct radiological monitoring facilities. This procurement is for Stage 2 of a three-stage decommissioning process and seeks qualified suppliers to conduct a comprehensive radiological monitoring survey of the facilities. The successful supplier will be responsible for: conducting both direct and indirect radiological surveys; identifying areas with contamination above background or clearance levels; providing a detailed report with findings and recommendations for decontamination and disposal pathways; and presenting results to AFBI. Suppliers will be selected through a competitive flexible procedure including an initial Procurement Specific Questionnaire (PSQ) and Conditions of Participation (COP) stage to shortlist experienced candidates, followed by a formal tender stage. This is a public contract award in accordance with the Procurement Act 2023.
