Fire Fighting Equipment Maintenance and Servicing Contract 2026

This is a contract to service, inspect, repair, and maintain fire fighting equipment across Cumbria, Northumberland, Tyne & Wear NHS Foundation Trust facilities. The work covers five geographic regions: North (Morpeth and Northumberland), Central (Newcastle, Gateshead, and North Tyneside), South (Sunderland and Southern Tyne & Wear), Cumbria (Carlisle, Wigton, Workington), and Community/Clinical locations. The contractor will perform annual inspections of all fire extinguisher types, refill and recharge extinguishers, replace extinguishers at expiry (5 and 10-year cycles), and repair trigger mechanisms, delivery hoses, nozzles, and horns where cost-effective. Equipment types include Carbon Dioxide, Foam Spray/Fluorine-Free Foam, Dry Powder (ABC), Water/Water Plus Additive, and Wet Chemical extinguishers.
