Bedwas High School Roof and Cladding Replacement Project

This tender invites qualified contractors to undertake comprehensive roofing and external cladding renewal works at Bedwas High School. The project must be completed between 20th July and 30th August 2026. Key scope items include: Roofing Works: • Complete replacement of flat roof covering over Gym, Block 185, and connecting corridor using Sika specification or approved equivalent • Removal and safe storage of all electrical services, CCTV, power, and signage, with reinstatement upon completion Cladding Works: • Removal of existing timber windows and cladding from site • Installation of new C16 timber framework with vertical and horizontal spacing as specified • 100mm thick Rockwool stone slab insulation with breathable waterproof membrane • 38mm x 50mm vertical battens with air gap • Kestral 150mm white textured V-Joint PVC cladding boards in horizontal configuration with all trims, flashings, and insect mesh, installed per manufacturer specifications Safety and Access: • Provision of fixed scaffolding with stair access and Heras fencing • Protection of all building entrances and emergency exits with netting and fan boarding to ensure safe access • No blocking of emergency exits Compliance: • All necessary electrical certificates required for electrical works conducted on site • Full compliance with health and safety requirements
