Nitrous Oxide Disposal and Management Framework

This national framework provides participating authorities with comprehensive services for managing seized and unwanted nitrous oxide canisters and gas. Services include secure local storage, safe collection and transportation, central storage facilities, degassing operations, and compliant disposal methods. The framework is structured into four flexible lots allowing authorities to select services matching their needs: Lot 1 offers complete end-to-end management from collection through disposal; Lot 2 provides transportation and storage only; Lot 3 includes collection, transportation, degassing, valve removal, and incineration services; and Lot 4 focuses on collecting and disposing of empty canisters while generating revenue. All services comply with UK legal requirements and environmental regulations, ensuring safe handling and responsible disposal of full, partially discharged, nominally empty, and empty nitrous oxide canisters.
