    Brief

The Department for Education is conducting market engagement to identify and promote technology hardware and software deals that offer schools clear value for money. We are seeking supplier offers—including discounts, bundled solutions, and added services—that can be easily accessed through DfE platforms like Find a Buying Solution. This initiative aims to help schools reduce purchasing costs and complexity while accessing trusted, competitive deals. We are exploring how suppliers can partner with the Department to improve access to high-quality, cost-effective technology and digital solutions at scale. While this engagement focuses on identifying and developing strong supplier offers for promotion, the Department is considering potential future contractual arrangements to further strengthen value for money access for schools. Suppliers should submit proposals that: deliver measurable cost savings compared to existing purchasing routes; provide added value such as training, support, or sustainability initiatives; enable better access to reliable, high-quality technology and software; and demonstrate innovative, scalable approaches that unlock efficiencies across the education sector rather than offering one-off deals. The Department is particularly interested in suppliers who understand education sector challenges and can design offers that make technology purchasing easier, more efficient, and more cost-effective for schools. This is a preliminary market engagement activity, not a procurement exercise. Participation does not guarantee promotion of any offer, and decisions to feature deals will be made fairly and transparently.
