Rail advertising and ticket gate advertising concession

South Western Railway Ltd is seeking a commercial advertising partner to market, sell, and manage advertising across on-train and station ticket gate media. The successful supplier will be responsible for securing advertisers, managing sales operations, collecting revenue, and providing performance reporting while sharing revenue with South Western Railway Ltd under an agreed commercial model. The concession covers the South Western Railway network spanning South West London, Surrey, Berkshire, Hampshire, Dorset, Wiltshire and Devon, including major stations at Guildford, Basingstoke, Portsmouth, Southampton, Salisbury, Bournemouth, Weymouth and Exeter. Key responsibilities include fulfilling approximately 16,000 interior advertising spaces across around 325 train sets (with 1,250 digital screens launching in 2026), managing 316 double-sided ticket gate advertising panels at 42 stations, maximizing revenue through strong sales execution and innovation, managing advertiser and agency relationships, implementing pricing and yield management strategies, coordinating campaign delivery, collecting and reconciling revenues, providing regular performance reporting, and proposing innovative formats and sales approaches. The new concession aims to protect an established revenue baseline while emphasizing incremental growth, innovation and enhanced performance.
